Search builder: Contacts that doesn't belong to a group

How do we do a query to do a "Contacts that doesn't belong to a group" ?

I've tried using "!=", but the results still show up the contact, if that contact also belonged to another group.

Anyone can help?

hey

there is a Custom Search that does ' in this group/tag but not in that group/tag' so you just need an everyone group and your one to exclude

under searches - not sure if it shows on admin menu - if not just click on Custom Searches to see the List

SUGGESTION - the admin menu include an ALL CUSTOM SEARCHES link to noobs know there are more than the ones that show

Thanks Pete!

This finally helped me, after I've just struggled with the same issue for an hour or so...

Still I would like to know, why it doesn't work in the way described by pst_manly with the search builder.
Did I get something wrong with the NOT command ("!=") here?
