upgrade to admin_menu 3.0 loses Civicrm Submenu
March 17, 2011, 01:49:22 pm
I've been having known issues in drupal admin_menu 1.x so advised to move to 3.0 (called alpha but quite stable and in general use).  When installed, lost civicrm menu.  tried to run rebuild in civi.  is 3.0 supported?  any suggestions?

Newer versions of admin_menu (and/or newer versions of CiviCRM) provide only a simple link to CiviCRM, not a full dropdown menu. This is not a bug you are seeing, this is how it works now.

thanks for the clarification.  I do not see any CiviCRM entry though.

Oh. Not sure. Can you wipe and rebuild in the admin_menu settings page?

Tried to uninstall and reinstall civicrm.  Now going to do the same for admin_menu.  Tried to clear menu cache.  Cant see how to delete.  tried to actually uninstall but civicrm does not appear.  Are you using admin_menu 3.x.dev?

Note delete. There is an option somewhere for wipe and rebuild. At least with older versions.

I can't recall if I am on any sites. I may be. But even so, I don't recall which so I can check if such a site has CiviCRM in that menu.

version 3 has no wipe and delete function.  there are some know bugs with .dev that are really annoying.  specifically errors on race condition with db.  3.x also has a set of issues.  will revert to 1.x stable
