New permission "view public CiviMail content"
March 18, 2011, 03:00:01 pm
Folks,

Can someone point me to some documentation on this new permission? I did a quick scan of the forums and issues and couldn't see anything.

I searched for "public CiviMail" in the current documentation, but can't see any information about this permission. Can someone please give me a pointer?

Thanks,
Ken

Can you elaborate, this page doesn't provide much in the way on how to set this up.

@mulderDSM,

I've updated the documentation. Is that clearer?

Just got notified the link opens but takes user to joomla login.

I checked ACL for Public and the View public civimail content is set to allowed and I did public pages on step 2.

Any other ideas.

@MulderDSM,

The link on the web page is for Drupal and not Joomla. The Joomla link is something like ...

/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/mailing/view&reset=1&id=2

(If that works, please let me know - I'm not using Joomla so I don't want to update the documentation with something that's not tested.)

Is it possible to let users view a list of previous emails?
Cheers

I'm pretty sure there is no listing of past public emails present right now

should be fairly easy and will be a good contribution to the code base and/or extensions :)
