Notices after new Installation V 4.0 alpa3
March 22, 2011, 06:46:19 am
Hello,

today i installed Drupal 7 german + CiviCRM 4.0 alpha 3 + Language Pack civicrm-4.0.alpha3-l10n.tar.gz

Installation was very easy and without any problems.

When entering as Admin in CiviCRM Home there's a red container with three notices:

  • Notice: Use of undefined constant LANGUAGE_NEGOTIATION_NONE - assumed 'LANGUAGE_NEGOTIATION_NONE' in CRM_Core_Config->_setUserFrameworkConfig() (Line 254 in <myinstallation path>/drupal/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Config.php).
  • Notice: Use of undefined constant LANGUAGE_NEGOTIATION_PATH_DEFAULT - assumed 'LANGUAGE_NEGOTIATION_PATH_DEFAULT' in CRM_Core_Config->_setUserFrameworkConfig() (Line 256 in <myinstallation path>/drupal/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Config.php).
  • Notice: Use of undefined constant LANGUAGE_NEGOTIATION_PATH - assumed 'LANGUAGE_NEGOTIATION_PATH' in CRM_Core_Config->_setUserFrameworkConfig() (Line 256 in <myinstallation path>/drupal/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/Config.php).

I switched the language to german in Administrier -> Configure -> Global Settings -> Localization but the notices remain.

Any idea what this could be? I guess something forgotten within the translation engine?

Thanks in advance

Can you please file an issue for this. I suspect that constant disappeared in D7 and we did not fix the code.

we'll probably fix this in beta2 (since beta1 is due out soon)

Hello Donald,

could you plaese tell me how to file an issue ::)
I'm a greenhorn and found the Issue Tracker (in the menu above) but it contains only sections up to V 3.4 and I found no way to report an issue.

daMaxL,

When creating an issue, set the "Affects version" field by scrolling down for "unreleased versions" and under there you'll find "4.0.alpha".

Thank you ken. I didn't see that I had to register first.

Filed an issue under http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-7803 now.
