upgrade from 3.1.5 to 3.3.5 changes to database????
March 22, 2011, 07:29:16 am
I have a drupal/civicrm membership database we've been running for almost a year. I tried several times, unsuccessfully, to upgrade CiviCRM until this morning, when, with the help of my (mt) support guy, a change to the .htaccess file let the upgrade go through! Yeh. BUT, then, when I tested a script we have (unrelated to Civicrm or Drupal) which calls to the CiviCRM database, I get a blank screen when I hit ok on it.

Can someone tell me if any changes are made in the database structure between the two versions which would affect my search script?

Thanks,
Tina

Yes, there are definitely changes. Hopefully you have a backup of your old DB so you can compare the schemas. Or try to turn on error reporting and find the error, to be sure it's indeed an SQL one. Then also you can see what it is and fix it.

Thanks! I do have a back-up of my old database, and that's how I saw that "home_url" for one, wasn't in the same place. I did manage to find out some of the problems with my code, but now I don't know enough about the php of my other code (not CiviCRM) to fix it! I sure wish CiviCRM hadn't played with the fields!

The changes were required for improvements to CiviCRM. :)
