"To use reCAPTCHA you must get an API key from http://recaptcha.net/api/getkey"
March 23, 2011, 08:02:21 am
Hello!

I am getting the following error after upgrading Drupal and CiviCRM:

"To use reCAPTCHA you must get an API key from http://recaptcha.net/api/getkey"

I have a recaptcha key(s) and it/they are present in the recaptcha module config.

Any one know the problem?

Thanks!

-Joe

Are you using reCaptcha as a drupal module?  You must configure recaptcha in the Global Settings of CiviCRM as well.  When you upgrade CiviCRM, sometimes reCaptcha is reset.
Try CiviTeacher: the online video tutorial CiviCRM learning library.

Thank you Stoob!

That is in fact the most likely answer to my question, and it seems like the simplest things often make the biggest "boom!".

I wonder if you have had any experience w/IE users not being able to see the captcha graphic on contribution pages as a result of the image being reported as being delivered unsecurely?  I have set secure delivery options all the way back to Google (ReCaptcha) at this point, to no avail.  Oh well.

THANK you for the tip on the main topic of these posts.
