ACLs on CiviReports
March 25, 2011, 04:47:38 am
Hello CiviCRM Team,

Alpha International would like to enhance CiviReport by making the reports subject to ACLs. This would restrict availability of the report on the dashboard / menu structure based on the ACL role that is held by the user. The settings for this would listed where the Drupal permissions are setup. This would involved exposing the roles within that list etc

IRC channel discussion?

hey andrew:

Since ACL Roles are very similar to Drupal Roles (basically ACL Roles are used only for ACL Permissioning), any reason u'll dont want to use the supported Drupal Role permissioning on reports? In the worst case, u'll just need to sync drupal roles and acl roles

Hello Lobo!

The reason we want to use ACLs is because then we can do it for specific staff members rather than just a group of staff.....

Make sense?

you can also do assign specific staff members a drupal role
