Pending participant expiration
March 29, 2011, 01:09:16 am
In Configure Event->Online Registration, there is an option to set the expiry time of all registrations with pending status. It is not entirely clear how this is actioned. Does this actually apply to all statuses with "pending" in the name? If so, how and when are these registrations expired? (do I need a cron job set up, or do they just not show, but remain stored in the DB?)

Is there any way to make this function more flexible? e.g we wish to expire "Pending from incomplete transaction" registrations fairly swiftly, as they never seem to be resumed anyway, but replaced with a new one. However, we do not wish to delete those we have invited using "Pending from approval" and we would have a different time-scale for those who have chosen "Pending from pay later".

Hope that makes sense. I've tried to find some info in the docs, but the option doesn't even get a mention.
