Import Error
March 29, 2011, 07:27:05 am
I'm importing contributions, my test batch worked great, my file size is small, 155kb but I've now received this twice:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 83 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/crm.mkp.org/httpdocs/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/DB/DataObject.php on line 557

What am I doing wrong?

Um.  YIKES!

What this seems to have done is imported a PORTION of my batch of incoming contributions, but I've no idea:
1) Where it left off
2) How to delete those just imported that are duplicates
3) Why this happened
4) How to prevent it the next time

Hmm this thing needs an 'UNDO' button <grin>

Help, please!

I think only empirical research can reveal that.

If you import again and use merge then no duplicates should be made.

Host machine ran out of RAM. :(

Either get more RAM, get a host with more RAM, or run the import offline on a workstation where you can dedicate more RAM or do the import in smaller batches.

Thanks Hershel - the only problem with using 'update' instead of 'insert' is that the update function doesn't allow me to specify external identifier as that which assigns the contribution to a specific individual. :(
