import duplicates in group

When importing new contacts, assigning them to group eg "X", wouldn't it be useful if found duplicates in stead of not being imported, they would be added to the group "x" if they were not already in it.

Hi - isn't that what happens if you set the import to 'skip duplicate check'?

But that will create new contacts won't it?

Maybe I am confused - if you are importing 'new' contacts - some of whom are already potentially in the DB - then setting to 'update' contact and setting the whole import to 'add to group x' should do what you are wanting unless i am really missing the point
