Vertical Response and CiviCRM
March 31, 2011, 03:09:47 pm
Hi David and all,

Vertical Response gives a free account and 10,000 emails free per month to nonprofit organizations. Given that CiviCRM is for nonprofits, this seems to be a great match. There's a Drupal VR module, but it would be much more helpful to have a way to link CiviMail to Vertical Response. Given their attractive offering for nonprofits, this would seem to be helpful to many. We're using VR now, given this very cost effective arrangement. Can I put this in the feature queue?

I attended Chicago CiviCON & training, it was great! thanks much for your leadership and everyone's support for opensource!

best,

Brian Kelley

I am looking into beginning some code on simply using the post process in the mailing list subscription to send VR the CIVI contact information.  But no tracking withing civi...But it will send VR the contact info and create a civi contact at the same time.  Is this sort of what you were looking for?

There is a published module which ilnks CiviCRM to Constant Contact, and another (in development) linking to MailChimp. IMO I don't think that these link from CiviMail, but rather replace CiviMail - and provide synchronization of contacts and groups (mailing lists).

I know this is an old conversation, but I couldn't find anything newer on the topic.

Does anyone know if any progress has been made with this?

We have used VR for years and we are just moving into Civi but I would love to continue using VR for some things. We are setting up SendGrid but their newsletter and template capabilities simply aren't as good, and we already have so much data in VR.

Thanks!

I haven't heard of any progress on this. A quick google search on "CiviCRM Vertical Response integration" brings up a few companies that MIGHT have an offering though.
