profile search results in Joomla--change template?
April 04, 2011, 09:11:17 pm
Hi,

I have a 3-column Joomla website--a narrow column on either side, and a larger centre column for main content.

I've found that CiviCRM's profiles in Joomla's front-end (for adding members, displaying search results, etc) are too narrow for my centre column, where they live.  So I made a copy of my Joomla template, changed it to 2-column by eliminating the righthand column and making the main centre column much wider, assigned this new template to the CiviCRM menu items, and that worked great--everything looks nice now.

The problem is when I try to search from a front-end profile.  The page with the search results reverts back to the original template I was using, because the search results page is not a menu item unto itself, and thus can't be assigned to my wider Joomla template.

Any ideas how I can tweak this?

I think this problem might be related to joomla templating. But not sure. Have you tried deleting media/civicrm/templates_c folder ?
