How do I list all contacts?
January 05, 2008, 05:35:55 am
Okay,

I've searched a bit and can't seem to figure out how to simply list all contacts.  I was hoping for something much like when I click on the membership section, it shows me a list.

I read that I could search for find all contacts and not enter in any groups or tags, but when I go to the search page and hit find, I get
Code: [Select]
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

Could not find valid Key

Return to home page.

Edit: I also get this error when I select a contact check box, use the drop down (any option) and then hit "go."  Still searching for the solution. That is I can't delete a contact without first viewing it.

Edit2: http://opentechministries.org/civicrm/contact/search/basic?force=1 gives me an actual listing.

Edit3: The wiki is down. i was going to verify the whole disabling of drupal cache.  I pasted the required code but I'm not sure it if worked. I'm really banging my head here.  I can't delete via check boxes on any contact listing.  The forums have vague references on a lot of things, but don't actually spell it out... I didn't manage to check to see that uid=0 exists. All my Base URLs are the same.  Please help!!!!!

This looks like configuration problem. Can you search on forum. http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?action=search2

Did you solve it? I have the exact same problem.

The search/basic?force=1 seems to work for me.

What happens when you try a search with no criteria on the demo system?

I've seen this problem resolved by reducing the number of Smart Groups and/or ACLs.

Did anyone ever figure out the answer to this? I have the same problem. When searching I receive a non-recoverable error.

Please start a new thread and give details as to what screen you're using, what you enter, and what specific error message(s) you're getting. (Turning on "Backtrace" under Global Settings >> Debug Settings may also be helpful, as well as checking your web server error log for any clues.)

If I go to 'Find Contacts" http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/search?reset=1 and just hit Search I get all contacts. Is that what you want?
