Dashboard error (and other javascript feature error) - "Javascript must be ..."
April 11, 2011, 01:09:17 am
Dear all,

At first, sorry for my poor english but...I'm french  ;D

I have installed CiviCRM on an existing Drupal website and we encounter the famous "Javascript must be enabled in your browser in order to use the dashboard features." error on dashboard homepage. There's also other "javascript" bug (for example I can open tab in a contact form)

This error isn't link to my navigator because it doesn't work on firefox, chrome and IE, and even on other computer than mine.

I saw many post according to this bug  and I believe that my problem is a javascript library (jquery) conflict between the theme inclusion and civicrm's one.

I try to install the jquery_update drupal module but it doesn't work for me.

I'm new to CiviCRM and I don't administer the Drupal website (maintain by another company) and I really need help because all my attempts are unsuccessful.

Many thanks,
Fred

Yes you have a JS issue with equalize-themeblocks.js. I don't know what that file is so I can't help. You will need to either remove that or perhaps hire a developer who can debug your JS for you.

Many thanks for your answer hershel.
I comment the "faulting" lines of the script equalize-themeblocks.js and it works ; I'll see with the drupal team why their script cause this mistakes.

Have a good day.
Fred
