Searching CiviEvents using Drupal search
April 12, 2011, 04:46:04 am
Hi

We're working on a complex Druapl 6 / CiviCRM 3.3.5 site.

We are looking at how the CiviEvent content (future and past) can be retrieved by the Index based Drupal site search.
Is there any way this can be done aside from creating a duplicate Drupal node every time a CiviEvent is created?

Yours with thanks
Olly

The trouble comes that only CiviCRM knows both databases. Drupal only knows about the Drupal database.

So how could Drupal site search module possibly get access to Civi content?

That is one solution, or write a custom search function. See http://drupal.org/node/18429 for starters.
