EXPORT not import problem: FIX FOUND
April 13, 2011, 09:30:05 am
The error requires your ISP to make some modifications to MOD_SECURITY and then all is fine.

(the problem took me so long to track as Civi was working fine then stopped, and the help desk overlooked that they had made changes to mod+security in between)

I'm trying to export contacts (using a test of 3 contact organisations)

I get to the second screen

"Export All or Selected Fields" and whether I select" primary fields" or "Select fields for export"

When I hit continue...

I get a 'page not found' error with the URL

http://mysite.com/civicrm/contact/search

HELP ANYONE, its really frustrating.

I have turned on Javascript and the CSS options in drupal,  flushed the cache and run update.php.  Kicking the cat has been ruled out

Thanks in advance

Is this an Apache page not found (i.e. no styling) or a Drupal page not found (i.e. it looks like a page from your site)?

There is a small possibility that this export is timing out and this is an incorrect message your server is returning...

Hi thanks for responding

Its a drupal style page

Don't think its timing out it returns itself in about 2 secs

Don't know what to say then. If you cleared all caches...

Perhaps turn off any other modules, try disabling and then re-enabling CiviCRM....

Thanks Hershel

Think somehow the install is 'bad', although everything works, but I've just tried producing a report and get a similar no no in that it outputs to another 404 of

http://mysite.com/civicrm/report/instance/2

Is that a pointer to the problem as surely the path would be more like

http://mysite.com/sites/all/modules/civicrm/report/instance/2

?

All I have done is reduce down the menus for non admins so that the only visible civimenus are help and search
+ I've hidden all the tabs so that they can only see custom fields and relationships

I've done this as all I want users to do is edit/update details of their organisation via a permissioned relationship between the contact and organisation

Thanks

Geoff

No http://mysite.com/civicrm/report/instance/2  is correct.

Sounds like you may have sabotaged your install somehow. :(

Thanks again  Hershel...

"Amateur and idiot" springs to mind as I look in the mirror

Off to hunt round the forums to see how to uninstall civi so I can do a clean install of Civi and start over

To reinstall, delete sites/default/civicrm.settings.php and then either drop (delete) your CiviCRM database altogether and then make a fresh one, or if you put it in your Drupal DB, remove all tables beginning with civicrm_

Re: EXPORT not import problem AGAIN

This is driving me crazy....

Per Hershel's sound advice, I unstalled both drupal and civicrm completely an even clened out the public_html folder.

I reinstalled it, and got exactly the same problem, could it be to do with permissions somewhere?

As it didnt work, I switched to a Joomal 1.6 Civi 4 install and although the exporting and reporting works, Joomla isnt really useful as I want to used permissioned relationships on the front page of the site...

So I deleted that one and went for Drupal 7/ Civi4

It is installed under public_html/drupal7 as I didnt want to delete the Joomal install

All installed fine, but now when I try and export contacts (only 2 so its not timing out)  I get

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

·   Notice: Undefined property: CRM_Export_Form_Select::$_componentIds in CRM_Export_Form_Select->preProcess() (line 177 of /home/mysite/public_html/drupal7/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Export/Form/Select.php).

Any help really appreciated

Hi. If this is a fresh install of D7 and C4 then I would recommend you make a fresh post in this forum: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/board,61.0.html to get the best response. CiviCRM 4 is still a beta, so it's not guaranteed to work.
