PHP Developer for Drupal and CiviCRM projects for non-profit orgs
April 14, 2011, 03:26:04 pm
We are a small IT consultancy focused on serving the non-profit sector; we have a growing slate of web development clients, and we need a PHP developer to help us build out Drupal and CiviCRM-based sites.

Our PHP Developer will work with our project manager and graphic designer to perform Drupal administration, develop templates, customize Drupal contributed modules, and create custom modules. In addition, they will work with CiviCRM to build custom reports and modules and occasionally make modifications to CiviCRM core.

Because we are a small organization growing rapidly, this position is ideal for a candidate who learns new process and practices quickly, and who wants to work with a small team to create new practices and processes, laying the foundation for future growth. Our PHP Developer will work closely with our senior Drupal project manager and our tech lead on everything from the practical details of particular projects up to broad strategic decisions that impact all of our projects going forward. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to learn new languages and platforms, and should look forward to a job working on multiple projects, deploying sites and applications, and having a direct impact on organizations across the non-profit sector.

This job will be approximately 50% telecommute, 50% on-site work at our Portrero/Dogpatch office. Full health benefits are included. Work will begin with Drupal and CiviCRM projects, but opportunities to work in other languages and platforms are available as well.

Candidates should have a strong foundation of software development skills, with a command of professional programming practices and principles. Applications should include a cover letter explaining why the candidate would be a good addition to our small web development team, as well as a resume showing relevant experience and education.
