Inserting text in DOJO Editor enabled text-area

hello ..

in CiviCmail module .. i m inserting some text in a text-area by pressing a link outside of the text-area. I have created some links outside the text-area, and when i click any link, some text related to that link appears in the text-area at the position wherever cursor is blinking. This is happening easily in a simple text-area.

But when i try to do the same thing in a text-area in which DOJO text-editor is enabled, it simply doesn't happen. I am trying to do it since many days, but of on use.

Could anyone guide me, how to do this thing in the DOJO Editor enabled text-areas ?

You might want to check dojo documentation.
http://dojotoolkit.com/docs

We are using dojo 0.4 for CiviCRM v1.9.
