I'm having an issue with a profile search returning "extra" results.

Background:

I'm working on a chamber of commerce site.  I have set up a profile with basic business information to be included in the Member Directory.  I have limited the listings for this profile to a specific Smart Group.

I thought this meant that on a search, I will only get results for members of the Smart Group.  When I don't find something on a search, it tells me it's searching for Contacts IN Chamber Members (my group) ...AND... whatever else, so it seems like this should be correct.

But it seems to work that way for certain searches.  For example, if I search based on "business category" (which is a custom field), I receive results that are only members of the smart group.

If I search based on Organization Name (not a custom field, but IS a part of this profile), I get results from ALL members, not just members of the Smart Group. 

Any ideas why this works differently in that case?
