Joomla 1.6 and CiviCrm 4.0 beta 3
April 19, 2011, 11:31:20 am
Hi All:
I am still getting the errors with Jooma 1.6.3 and Civicrm 4.0beta 3.
I install the component okay though the extensions manager but when the installation finishes, it still can't build the admin menus.

I was wondering if anyone found a solution to this yet.  I tried some of the work arounds that were stated previously but nothing worked.

Thanks all!

Hi
I have found other problems, but the installation on joomla 1.6.3 went fine with all menus built ok.
Did you install it from the directory, not just the normal package upload?
And do you have enough memory?
Initially I only had 32 mb and civicrm supposedly installed fine, but there were problems. Now I have 128 mb, but 64 mb should be enough.
I also found that I couldn't drop the civicrm table from the joomla database.
I had to delete the database and start over, or export only the joomla tables, uninstall civicrm, delete the database, create a new database and import the joomla tables and start again with civicrm. If it is a fresh installation, I would recommend deleting everything, increase the memory and start again.
cheers

Thank you.
I actually only had 16 MB set asside.
I will increase it.  I think I can drop the tables but if that doesn't work with the memory increase, I will do a fresh install again.

Thanks for you help!

Make sure you use the new version 4, it fixed all my initial problems.
