Little help needed modifying templates

Hi all ...
I'm by no means a developer, but I try to get around :)
At this moment I need to place some custom data fields in the contact details section when viewing/editing contacts (individuals and organisations).
I'm using this page as a starting point:

It would be soooo great if someone could give me some real code examples that I could study so I can see how you hide the fields in the custom data template and put this in the for example organization.tpl .
Anybody who has some free time for a little help?
