4.0 beta 2 upgrade to 4.0 stable - one issue encountered
April 25, 2011, 10:47:46 am
Hi everyone,

I have upgraded from 4.0beta2 to 4.0 stable Drupal. It has fixed several minor bugs but introduced a new Notice on my Case Dashboard. The following Notice repeats several times above teh Add Case button on the Case Dashboard screen.
Code: [Select]
Notice: Undefined property: CRM_Core_DAO::$contact_sub_type in CRM_Case_BAO_Case->getCases() (line 746 of /vpfa-dev/fa-drupal7/drupal-7.0/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/BAO/Case.php).
Notice: Undefined property: CRM_Case_Page_DashBoard::$_context in CRM_Case_BAO_Case->getCases() (line 752 of /vpfa-dev/fa-drupal7/drupal-7.0/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/BAO/Case.php).
Notice: Undefined property: CRM_Case_Page_DashBoard::$_context in CRM_Case_BAO_Case->getCases() (line 757 of /vpfa-dev/fa-drupal7/drupal-7.0/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Case/BAO/Case.php).

I do not see this on the D7 sandbox site so I am guessing it is something I have configured incorrectly. Where does the collective wisdom of the boards suggest I start my hunt?

Thank you.

Tracked this down and fixed it.
http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-7975

In general, d7 shows notices that are suppressed in d6 environment (by default). If you encounter others, most likely they are also coding issues so would be great if you can try and track them down and submit patch(es).
