Moving install -- error about civicrm_root not set correctly
April 27, 2011, 01:51:40 pm
I've moved an existing installation of CiviCRM (ver 3.1.0) on Drupal (6.10)  to a new server and I keep getting the following error on every page:

[Oops! - The path for including CiviCRM code files is not set properly. Most likely there is an error in the civicrm_root setting in your CiviCRM settings file (sites/default/civicrm.settings.php).

» civicrm_root is currently set to: /home/pabatest/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm.

Please review the Drupal Installation Guide and the Trouble-shooting page for assistance. If you still need help installing, you can often find solutions to your issue by searching for the error message in the installation support section of the community forum. ]

I believe this path is correct (it exists and seems to be where the appropriate files live).

I can't figure this one out...any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Kent

One approach to getting the settings correct is to reinstall CiviCRM (using a separate, empty database) and that will correctly build your civicrm.settings.php file. Then just adjust that file to point to your real database.
