When volunteers add contribution records for existing members (Contributions >> New Contribution) it's easy and common for them to get an updated email address.  Ideally, when a contact lookup occurs, an email field would get populated with the contact's current primary email address in a text box such that is could be modified by the volunteer.

Adding an email field to the template seems non-trivial, as it looks to me that updating the form would be required to pull in the necessary profile information.  Making this change may be too heavyweight for a general usage (and thus not accepted as a contribution).  Is there a lightweight way to accomplish this task?
