Yes/No field dysfunctional?
May 04, 2011, 04:46:17 am
I have added a Yes/No field to my Membership pages. Its default status is NO. It is supposed to be searchable. However a search for records with that status does not return anything. When I check an individual record however it is set to 'No'. I have the impression that the status is only set upon opening the record. Before that it has no status. Am I correct?

Anyhow, I need to give my membership pages a marker that I have manually checked them for something, or better: I need to be able to search for records that have *not* been checked yet.Is this the wrong approach?

Thanks

Edit: So I deceide to Search without selecting anything in the Yes/No field (Neither Yes nor No, leave it empty). Then it just produces ALL records, including those where YES was set before.

Edit2: I was apparently right: de record neds to be opend first. So setting this fieeld default to NO doesnt mean very much, before I can search it I must first run an Batch Update profile to actually set them to No. After that I can search them.
