Searching on relationships in Search Builder
May 04, 2011, 03:47:33 pm
After looking at the documentation, it seems like relationships are not part of the Search Builder functionality.  Is that the case?  Are there plans for this development?

For example, I want to search for all individuals that have a X relationship type (with any organization) and intersect those individuals with everyone has an active Y membership with our organization.

I realize this may sound confusing, so please ask for clarifications if necessary.  The goal is to be able to contact all members who have are the primary contact people of their organizations to let them know about trainings, etc. that are available to them.

We're using version 3.4/D6.

No plans for further enhancements to Search Builder currently.

Might be easiest to do what you want below either in Views2 or as a Custom Search

when i go to the drupal demo site and use site builder and choose individual, one of the fields available is Group(s)

when i install civi 3.4 on a new site and try the same i do not see Group(s), Tag(s) or Note(s).

is the demo site running something different from what i am downloading from source forge?

if not, any thoughts on why this is not available on my site?

demo runs from svn (so we can ask folks to QA a few fixes etc)

there has been a bug fixed with that, and hence u see on demo but not on your local site
