What is the character/word limit in the Confirmation email field?

I have an event (https://www.cohousing.org/civicrm/event/register?id=66&reset=1) which has 512 words in it SEEMS to be disabling the email registration confirmation text to be sent out. Another event with 256 words seems to be working flawlessly.

Hi,
It is of varchar(255).
Fields: 'Confirm From Name', 'Confirm From Email' , 'CC Confirmation To' and 'BCC Confirmation To' are varchar(255).

Could you say that in plain english? I am not familiar with what looks like technical language.

Just to be clear, what I am asking is what is the character limit is in the email registration confirmation text field. It does not seem to work if it is too full! What is the max limit?

It means, it will just allow maximum 256 characters
