I'm not positive what your question is. CiviCRM's pledge functionality is in a separate component, CiviPledge, with some basic documentation available at: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/CiviPledge

You might also be interested in the Contribution Widget, which doesn't have proper documentation yet at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/Contribution+Widget. To see it in action, go to http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org, log in, click on the CiviCRM link, then on the main menu click on Contributions > New Contribution Page. Give your new page a title, then click Continue >>. While you'll need to configure other parts of the page, the interesting thing for you is to click on the Widgets tab, then click to Enable Widget. You can post the widget anywhere on your site or other sites to get a click and pledge/pay functionality.

To see this kind of functionality in action, check out http://civicrm.org/mih#accounting and use the widgets in blue.
