1.7stable over 1.7beta
May 11, 2007, 10:38:48 am
I'm having trouble with CiviCRM not showing up in the Drupal modules directory, and I think I'm missing something basic. I overwrote the sites/all/modules/civicrm directory with the new 1.7 stable files. I've modified and copied the new version of civicrm.settings.php into sites/mydomain. I didn't do anything to update the database. When I couldn't get civicrm to show up in the Drupal modules directory I even tried renaming sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/civicrm.install.sample to civicrm.install in the same dir.

Suggestions?

Joe - What do you mean by "showing up in the Drupal modules directory"? Do you mean whether it's listed in Drupal Administer >> Site building >> Modules (drupal/admin/build/modules) ?

If you have <drupal>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/drupal/civicrm.module - then Drupal should find it. The .install file is not needed. I assume you've logged off and on? Else, sounds like Drupal might be caching it's list of modules. Not sure how to force a refresh - I've swapped in different versions of CiviCRM locally many times w/o having any problems with Drupal "finding" CiviCRM... ???
