Message "HTTPS is not set up on this machine" on force secure URL

Hi,

Am getting this message "HTTPS is not set up on this machine" both on the CiviCRM Admin page (Settings - Resource URLs) as well as on the front end of the Contribution page.

I am Running Joomla 1.6, CiviCRM 4.0 and my host provider in Servage.net and have purchased the SSL certificates from them.

I have checked the forums, but could not locate any specific solution for problems in CiviCRM 4.0.

Will really appreciate any help.

Did you test in your browser that https works and throws no errors? Using the same domain (meaning with or without www.) as your are using for CiviCRM?

Do no get errrs when using https:// www.itaaworld.org. However https://itaaworld.org throws this error. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long).

So make sure your base URL in CiviCRM is set to the good URL, i.e. the one that works with the SSL. Both via the admin interface and also in the settings files should be set.

components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php
administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php

Within web interface:

Adminster -- Administration Console -- Global Settings - Resource URLs

and check that everything matches.
