Case Subject and Date columns in Contact's "Cases" tab

hi,
we are running CiviCRM 3.3.6, upgraded from version 2 recently :-)

the set of columns we have in "Cases" tab is totally different from what we had before. we would like to add case subject and date columns there. those are probably subject and date of first case opening activity.
we also like to get rid off "My Role", "Case Manager", "Most Recent" columns.
anybody did change the columns in "Cases" tab? how should i do it?

Adding might be a bit more work but I think you can remove just by editing templates/CRM/Case/Form/Selector.tpl
