First Stab at Joomla! ACL in 4.0
May 11, 2011, 11:03:39 am
After months of eager anticipation (and a fair sized MIH contribution), I'm very excited to dive head first into the new Joomla 1.6/CiviCRM 4.0 ACL's.

At first stab here, when I try and use "Access Controls" from CiviCRM > Administer > Manage - I get bounced to the "Administer CiviCRM" dashboard instead of to the page for setting up ACL (as per the wiki).

For a split second after I click and before the "administer CiviCRM" page opens I can see another screen, which I assume is the access controls page.

On that dashboard under "Manage" these is no "access control" option.

Any thoughts? Or am I the first one to try and set this up on a live site :)

Hi Josh. :)

Can you try this here http://j16.sandbox.civicrm.org/ and compare and see if it behaves the same as your site?

The 4.0 sandbox doesn't have 'administer' enabled in the menu bar.  I tried accessing through the URL, but got a fatal error (unsurprisingly).

Running

Reset domain settings:

Code: [Select]
civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1
fixed this problem.
