OK, so I have searched this board to no avail.  I saw a few of the same questions, but never really found an answer.  I always see "we need to know what the error log says" and again no answer.  So, I am going to try again.

Here are the details:

I'm going to give this a shot, but my knowledge is seriously limited.

This says to me you have got a few problems.
First, you need to upgrade your Joomla installation.  There's 1.0.13 stable and now 1.0.14 RC.  1.0.14 has some security fixes.
Second, you are using GoDaddy.  I don't know if you have access to your php.ini file with this host. 
Third, you need to up your max execution time in the php.ini file and your memory allowance.  (you may have to call GoDaddy and have them do this for you.

You can create a file called phpinfo.php and in it write <?php

Was Joomla running fine, and it just crashed recently with the installation of CiviCRM? Can you backtrack to describe what changed that might have created this error?

I'm having the same issue: Internal server error when I run the install from directory
