No contact found for this contact ID

Hi!

When I'm importing contacts coming from another CiviCRM machine I allways get the same error message.

Quote
No contact found for this contact ID

The CiviCRM I am importing the contacts in, is completely empty.

Any ideas?

Is one of your columns mapped to Contact ID?

Yes, it is mapped to the contact id column from the previous CiviCRM site.

So that is the problem. By mapping that field you are telling CiviCRM to update the contact with that ID. But since no contacts exist, that ID is not found.

Remove that mapping and it will work.
