Can't Perform Searches

So the long and short of my problem is that when I go to the "Search" item on the CiviCRM menu and click "Find Contacts", "Advanced Search" or "Search Builder" I get this error:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
The requested Profile (gid=1) is disabled OR it is not configured to be used for 'Profile' listings in its Settings OR there is no Profile with that ID OR you do not have permission to access this profile.
Please contact the site administrator if you need assistance.

I did delete the Profile with the ID of 1 (because I was planning on replacing it with something else). Is there anything I can do? Can I reassign profile ID #1 to another profile? Thanks!

Goto search settings in administer civicrm >> setting >> global settings

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/setting/search?reset=1

and change the default profile to use to be empty
