optOutUrl refers to /administrator/
May 25, 2011, 01:38:49 am
Hi,

I have upgraded to Joomla 1.6 and CiviCRM 4.0.
After some struggeling, everything is working now.

The final problem I am running into is that, when launching mailings, the unsubscribe action {action.optOutUrl} refers to the back-end and not to the front-end.
The URL it generates is:

http://www.mysite.be/administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/mailing/optout&reset=1&jid=67&qid=71&h=d76222772933cc04

where it should be:

http://www.mysite.be/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/mailing/optout&reset=1&jid=67&qid=71&h=d76222772933cc04

I updated both the civicrm.settings.php files and the civicrm.config.php file.
Am I missing something somewhere?

Thanks for any advice,
Paul

Dear all,

I found a temporary solution in using {action.optOut}.

Nevertheless, as I want to use the different tokens (which are great) in the future, I hope that somebody can direct me to the right solution.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Nope, still doesn't work in CiviCRM 3.4.8 on Joomla 1.5.25.
I get the correct URL formed but it resolves to a blank page and doesn't process the function:
http://(domain-name)/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/mailing/optout&reset=1&jid=588&qid=1005870&h=e36040b7a50b11ef

Is the "jid=" supposed to be the contact ID? If so then it is not resolving to the correct record. Even still it did not update ContactID #588 either.

Gonna have to resort to the email token and see if that works.
