CiviEvents Saving in US format
May 26, 2011, 05:05:18 am
Hi

This is my first post....  so any help will be greatfully received.

Yesterday I updated CiviCRM from 3.3.2 to 3.4.1 running on Drupal 6. I have one small problem in CiviEvents which is now occuring and I cant find how to fix it.

For example when I edit an event which has a start and end date of 9 June 2011 it automatically saves it as 6 September 2011 even thoughI'm making no changes to the dates only the event description.  I realise this must have something to do with localisation or date formats but cant see what I should change.  If when I change an event I actually re-input the dates then the record gets saved correctly.  This is also true of any new events.

Where are you trying to display the data? If you are trying to display in where one of the .tpl files displays, then it is an easy fix of adding a custom template to the CRM directory and changing the {$event.start_date|CRM} and {$event.end_date|CRM} tokens.

Thanks for the reply Keith which helps me with something else I would like to change, but not this particular problem.

When using /civicrm/event/manage/eventInfo?action=update&reset=1&id=97 I just make a minor change to the any part of the titile / summary / desritption (like insert '.') then press the save button the event date changes to US format from GB  eg  09/06/2011 becomes 06/09/2011.

I then have to manually change the date back to the correct one.
