"Rebooting" Membership Status Rules

Hi all,

This has been driving me nuts for a long time now. My membership status rules just don't seem to work. I'm using CiviCRM 3.3.5 and Joomla 1.5.22 (but this has been a problem in previous versions as well). I've got expired members coming up as "New" (even if I disable "New" and/or set it as "administrator only"); expired members as "Current" (again, even if I disable "Current"!) etc. etc.

I've gone through and double-checked the rules for each membership status. I've also disabled all of them except for "Current" (and Pending) and yet the others still appear.

Aaarrghh! What am I missing?!?

Hi, sounds like you need to run the UpdateMembershipRecord.php cron job

Is that for Joomla as well as Drupal installs? I've trawled the documentation, but can't find info... if someone could give me a link that'd be great! :)
