Make It Happen for Self-service cancellation/editing.

Code: [Select]
Allow participants to edit selected portions of their registration info (the associated profile fields only) from the contact dashboard. (Restricted to online event registrations - since we don't have profiles for offline registrations).
Conditionally allow authenticated participants to Cancel their event registration (provide a link from the Event Info page when we recognize that the user is registered). This should be configurable per event (Allow self-service cancellations).

These items have continued to fall off the upcoming schedule for quite sometime. I am curious if the is enough interest in a make it happen to move these forward. A related item that would be useful would be the ability to allow someone to switch from "Pay at the Door" to "Pay Now" or to try paying again when a payment fails.

i am assuming efforts to get this happening have not yet resulted in an MIH?

My organization would be extremely interested in having this feature added to CiviCRM. We use CiviEvent for events with hundreds of registrants and having self-cancellation/self-modification would save us loads of time. I strongly support turning this into a "Make-it-Happen".

It would be even better if users could self-manage without needing to log in. I assume this could be done using a similar kind of system to the one that allows users to subscribe/unsubscribe from mailing lists?

mathocracy:

Would your organization be willing to act as a lead sponsor for the MIH? I'm assuming this is a 60-80 hour project, so a lead sponsor would be between 2-4K USD

I can run the idea by some folks internally, though I can't promise anything.

Thanks! We use CiviCRM pretty extensively so we think it rocks too :)
