Search builder doesn't allow listing memberships

Is there a way to add membership modifier(s) to search builder? Making membership related searches works fine with advanced search, but features arn't available for search builder.

Also I'd like to know if there is possible to make memberships with a gap? So that someone is member for example from 2002 to 2003 and then again 2005 to 2007? I need to have one join date per individual.

No. However, the custom search framework being added in 2.0 should let you build form-driven searches with "customized" criteria and queries.

I think you'll have to create two membership records for the contact, and set both up with the same join date. One would be "expired" based on the end date and the default status rules.
