Hi,

Just unsubscribed from AppSumo, and they have a really nice solution:

1) the unsubscribe link is short (basically, just a md5 )

2) The text is cute:

An angel has truly lost its wings today

If it's because of too much email, follow us on Twitter.com/AppSumo or Facebook/AppSumo

And then (instead of our solution of unsubscribing of some base groups (or all or some combination of factors, cf previous discussions) They offer

Select category:
| Everything | Mac | Wordpress | Design | Analytics | PC | Windows |


IMO, Here for civi it would be
1) all the public groups (with checked the ones they are subscribed to)
2) all the private groups that have been targeted by the mailing and that the contact is a member of

Note: beside private/public, we might create a "hidden" (where the contacts can't see) ?

And we might add an option: to opt out completely (and merge the optout/unsubscribe options)

What can we do to get you to stay?

And store as an activity when that's been unsubscribed + an optional message
