New error when trying to access CiviCRM component
January 17, 2008, 06:25:49 am
Have not had any problems accessing the backend admin of CiviCRM until this morning.

Am now getting the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/autis9/public_html/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/Config.php on line 57

Please help, I need access to the back end ASAP.

Using Joomla 1.0.12, CiviCRM 1.8

There's a load of post on this which seem to indicate a php versioning error. Has your host changed PHP versions?

Sorry for the hasty post. You are absolutely right, but because we had PHP5 running on our server we didn't think this was the issue. We found out that our host upgraded the servers to PHP 5.2.4 over night, but ended up defaulting our account back to PHP  4.4.7

All fixed.

cheers
