Contribution page with multiple payment processors
June 03, 2011, 06:09:43 pm
Is it possible to create a contribution page where the user gets to choose what payment processor to use? So they can choose between, for example, PayPal, Google Checkout, or entering CC info for Authorize.net?

It doesn't seem like this is possible. Does this mean that if I want to give my users a choice in how to pay I need to create separate contribution pages for each payment processor? It seems like if this were the case it might be simpler and less convoluted to only offer one payment processor.

Yes, the schema and code only support one payment processor / contribution page currently. There have been sporadic requests to allow multiple PP's / contribution page, but not enough interest for someone to submit a patch and/or sponsor the development.

We estimate this is a 50-75 hour project. For the short term using one PP is your best bet

With PayPal anyhow, if you have PayPal Pro, you can have the option of PayPal or CC (processed in the background by PayPal) :)

Thanks Lobo! If we were interested in sponsoring this feature how much would it cost?

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/CiviCRM+Consulting+Rate+Sheet lists hourly rates from $125 to $175 depending on the skill level required, so a 50-75 hour project could be anything in the range $6,250 to $13,125 depending on how complex it turns out to be.
