Restricting Export of Custom Data Fields
June 04, 2011, 10:08:35 am
Hi, we're running a 4.0.2 install with Joomla 1.6 and successfully restricted view/edit access to our Custom Data fields for low level users.

The problem is that these users can still do a search and export these fields even though they've been blocked from view/editing them by the ACL's.

Any thoughts on how best to block the export of these fields for particular users?

there is a hook on export, you can filter the fields selected there.
