Error messages on Import
June 06, 2011, 06:01:12 am
Trying to import some contacts (~10,000). After I define the field mapping, I get the following errors on step 3; however, everything still appears to be working normally below the errors, and it still lets me import data. Wondering what these mean, and if it is something I should be worried about.

Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in CRM_Import_Form_MapField->buildQuickForm() (line 599 of C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\sites\all\modules\civicrm\CRM\Import\Form\MapField.php) x 14 rows of this

Notice: Undefined index: in CRM_Import_Form_MapField->postProcess() (line 812 of C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\sites\all\modules\civicrm\CRM\Import\Form\MapField.php). x 1 row of this

Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in CRM_Import_Form_MapField->postProcess() (line 917 of C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\sites\all\modules\civicrm\CRM\Import\Form\MapField.php). x 23 rows of this

Any thoughts would be great. As I said, it still seems to allow me to import - but I'd prefer not to have myself and client see error messages, and I'd like to be reassured that nothing is going missing (can't manually check 10,000 contacts to see if anything didn't get imported).

Thanks for your help.

Brian

Not sure if this is related or not, but for some reason, it is importing a blank contact after every single contact I import. Despite step 3 stating that there were 9,500 records to import, it created 19,000 records - every other one being an Individual with no information.

Are you importing relationships too?

I think if you are importing relationship like "Employee of" with "Organization name" and if organization name is empty for few records it will create empty records.
For now you can use search builder and find empty contacts and delete it.
