civiMail worked fine for a while. Then one day suddenly it would not go beyond step 2. We click on Next and it just goes back to step one and starts over. I was running version 3 under Drupal 6, so I just upgraded to civiCRM 4 and Drupal 7. Didn't help -- civiMail fails in the same place.

I don't know where to put debugging statements to figure out what's going wrong. I would be very grateful for any suggestions on how to debug this. (?)

There does not appear to be anything wrong with the form on step 2. The form tag, hidden fields, and submit button look like this:
