how to install extensions
June 07, 2011, 09:32:51 am
Hi.

I'm probably missing something completely obvious, but I can't find documentation regarding how to install civicrm extensions in drupal.

I would like to install the payflow link extension located http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/PayFlow+Link but I'm not sure how.  Is there documentation for this?

Thanks.

Hey,

You should be able to install it as an extension just by putting the code into extensions directory - so just check out this directory: https://svn.fuzion.co.nz/repos/fuzion-code/trunk/civicrm/extensions/org.civicrm.payment.payflowlink/ into your extensions dir - it should show up in the list as "Local only" and you will be able to install it.

Could you see if it works for you and update extensions docs, so that other have the solution described? http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/Extensions+Admin

Thx,
m

Thanks for the instructions.  I'll happily update the documentation, but first I want to make sure I'm doing this correctly because I'm still having a problem.

I checked out the code form https://svn.fuzion.co.nz/repos/fuzion-code/trunk/civicrm/extensions/ and have uploaded into my extensions directory.  I see the extension listed in civicrm but when i click the install button none of the data from the xml file shows up...

Check out the attahced screen...

When I click the install button again I get an error:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
Unable to extract the extension.

Any thoughts?

Hey,

There was a bug, fixed now. It'll work properly in next version (3.4.4, 4.0.4), but if you want to check it out on your current install, take a look at Fisheye tab in the issue below and apply two patches you can find there.

Wondering if anyone had luck with this on 3.4.4. I just tried, and it does not seem to have installed properly.  Furthermore, the documentation doesn't say anything about the civicrm side of the payment processor configuration, as far as I can tell at least, only config on the paypal payflow link side of things.

My problem seems to be that this page extern/payFlowLinkIPN.php did not seem to wind up where one would expect it to be.

To quickly install the extensions not available in the backend, I copied the downloaded zip file into the 'tmp' folder in my extensions directory
