Custom data in Views integration not available
June 10, 2011, 09:26:39 am
D7 + Civi 4.0.2

I cannot seem to make custom fields available in a view. All other data in Civi seems to be available. Views integration is setup and I've updated the settings.php file with the custom data tables. I've cleared the Views cache multiple times since. The custom data I'm trying to access is attached to Memberships.

Any thoughts?

Try updating to 4.0.3... I'm not sure if it will necessarily resolve your issue, but there was definitely some updates to Views integration.

Figured out what is happening. Not sure if it should be considered a bug or not.

If I create the view starting from CiviCRM Contacts, the custom data field attached to Memberships is not available.

If I create the view starting from CiviCRM Memberships, the custom data field attached to Memberships IS available. However, I'm limited in other ways by choosing this route. For instance, I don't have custom data fields attached to Contacts. And I don't see CiviCRM Groups fields.

It would be nice if there were a way to get to all of the Civi fields related to a contact by starting with CiviCRM Contacts when creating the View.
