Receive date is coming up as 1st Jan 1970 instead of today

When my users are going in to add a new contribution they are leaving the receive date as it is in the box and putting in all the details and it is showing as today's date before they click save.

However when they press save the date comes up as 1st Jan 1970. As far as i know this is the date that mysql puts in when the date is null but I don't know why it wouldn't save. I have found a work around and told the users to actually use the date picker and choose today's date and this works.

Please Help!

There was a bug related to dates. Fix will be part of next release 3.4.4 / 4.0.4 ( in 1 / 2 days )
