Membership type not in profile after selected during registration
January 17, 2008, 07:53:04 pm
I've created three membership types, a Profile with all the fields I need, and a contribution page with the profile attached where the user can choose one of the three membership types.  I go through the page and the record is created (although I can't get the Authorize.net part to work, no matter how much I have set up correctly, but that's for another post).  But, when I edit the new record and go to the Memberships tab, the contact has none listed, and it looks like I have to add a membership manually to their record.  Since they had to choose the membership type when the page was submitted, shouldn't they already have a membership type assigned here?

Thanks.

If you're going thru the Contribution page in "test-drive" mode, the membership is created as a "test" transaction and doesn't show up under the contact's membership tab. However, you can verify that it has been created using Find Memberships and checking the Find Test Memberships checkbox in the search form.

If you're having this issue in "live" mode - if the contribution submit is not succeeding (due to Auth.net issues mentioned below) - then the Membership record may not be created yet (I think it's created on success of the contribution cycle in 1.9 - while in 2.0 it will be created early on w/ a Pending status).
